Introduction:

The Marauders are a loosely organized group of individuals from all walks of life, united by their shared struggle to survive in the harsh world of Pong of Champions (PoC). Unlike other groups who covet technology and wealth, the Marauders are scrappers at heart, finding value in the discarded and overlooked. They live by their wits, scavenging whatever they can to improve their lives, whether it's food, gear, or materials. Their adaptability and resourcefulness make them unpredictable, and they are known to see opportunity where others see only waste.

Key Skills:

Resourcefulness:

The Marauders excel at making use of whatever they find, turning even the most mundane items into something valuable.

Survival Instincts:

Living on the fringes of society, the Marauders have honed their survival skills, knowing how to navigate the neon city’s dangers without relying on high-tech solutions.

Scavenging:

They have a knack for scavenging and making do with whatever they uncover, transforming the forgotten into tools, weapons, or tradeable goods.

Core Functions:

Scrapping and Repurposing:

While others hunt for cutting-edge tech, the Marauders make use of what’s readily available, repurposing scrap and other discarded materials to meet their needs.

Bartering and Trade:

The Marauders are skilled negotiators, often trading what they’ve found or crafted to acquire the things they need to survive. They are part of an underground economy, exchanging goods and services in ways more tech-focused groups might overlook.

Community of Survivors:

The Marauders operate as a tight-knit community, bound by necessity rather than ambition. Their primary function is to protect one another and find ways to make life a little better, one scavenged piece at a time.

Approach and Philosophy:

The Marauders’ philosophy is built on survival, ingenuity, and the belief that even the smallest scraps of life can be turned into something meaningful. They reject the tech-obsessed mindset of other groups, focusing instead on the here and now, making the best of what they have. For them, survival isn’t about chasing after the next big breakthrough—it's about making today a little more livable with what they can find. Their approach is one of resilience and adaptability, finding hope and purpose even in the most difficult of circumstances.
